San Miguel is truly a fairytale.
Everything is so colorful and dreamy!
It all started in a small town in West Texas, where the best University in the Country is…Wreck em’! Currently, I was living in Dallas, Tx and I was in Lubbock for Texas Tech Cheer Tryouts. After tryouts, those who made the team came back for another session, so I decided to stay a week with a girlfriend of mine at the time. This is when I was not only introduced to Chimy’s (only the best bar in Lubbock) for the first time, but to my future Husband.
Of course, anyone who knows me knows I have a “type” and Jose Carlos quickly caught my eye with his handsome smile and charming personality, but he held my attention with how well-mannered he was and how he treated the people around him. Chivalry is not dead!
I knew something was different about this one… After the summer passed and running into each other a couple of times on campus, in parking lots etc. Jose Carlos asked me to go for coffee with him. Now anyone that knows Jose Carlos knows he does not drink coffee and anyone that knows me knows I cannot live without coffee (still cracks me up that he would ask me to coffee even though he does not drink it) Anyways, so I say “Yes, of course” and that I have time before practice to go. He picks me up at my place and takes me to Starbucks. I order a black iced coffee with no creamer and no sugar, and he orders a vanilla bean frapp with extra whip… And that is when I knew he was “The One”! Really though we laughed, we talked, I took pictures of my drink and him with his, and I quickly grew very fond of the man who you now know as my Husband!

Why did you choose San Miguel?
We chose San Miguel as our Wedding Destination because when Jose Carlos and I were dating, he use to visit there with his family. At this time, I had never heard of San Miguel and when he showed me the pictures from his trip and I saw Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, I said I want to get married in that church one day! We went to visit, and San Miguel is truly a fairytale. Everything is so colorful and dreamy!
